Non linear reading and writing captures the experience of the web because one does not need to read an article in its entirety or in a chronological order, surfing is very common, the reader of a text can skip from one topic to another and comment as they please. This enables the reader to read a range of material from a range of sources with great ease compared to going to the library and searching for different texts

As I said in the lecture, surfing used to be common, but it is less so now.
