The internet has created a new avenue for qualified, unqualified as well as those without the right credentials to be employed in Fleet Street. Almost anyone with access to a pc and internet can post things online, most news channels are now urging ordinary people to submit their pictures and stories if they happen to be at a significant event and in this they become journalists in their own right.
